· K-16 Education - Strengthen the pipeline from early childhood education through college, career, and life readiness (CCLR). Secure MOUs with Paul Quinn College and the University of North Texas Dallas for automatic acceptance of Glenn Heights K-12 Scholars.
· Summer Learning - Expand programs to prevent learning loss and provide enrichment opportunities for students.
· Adult Learners - Support adult education, GED programs, and workforce training to enhance career prospects. Establish a full-fledged partnership with WGU and other institutions of higher learning.
· Education Hub at Family Life Center - Establish a centralized location for tutoring, mentorship, and career development resources.
· Access to Healthcare - Expand resources for affordable and accessible medical care within the community.
· Food Equity (Fresh Fruits & Veggies) - Encourage healthier eating habits through farmers' markets and fresh food programs.
· Senior Programming - Increase wellness, social, and fitness programs tailored for the aging population. Ensure programs are being promoted. Poll seniors to see when they’d like to come and reach out to DART for transportation.
· Health Symposium - Host an annual event to provide healthcare resources, screenings, and education.
· Walking/Biking Trails - Promote an active lifestyle with improved and expanded pedestrian and bike pathways.
· Branded Trash Bins Throughout the City - Standardize waste management with city-branded trash bins.
· Resident-Led Code Enforcement Volunteers - Encourage community engagement in maintaining neighborhood standards.
· Tree Maintenance & Removal - Cut back overgrown trees to improve safety and aesthetics.
· Repurpose or Remove Old Police Station - Address outdated structures to accommodate new developments.
· Repurpose or Remove Rusted Water Tanks (Old Police Station Site) - Review options for the outdated infrastructure for safety and beautification.
· Repurpose or Remove Old City Hall - Evaluate options for revitalization or redevelopment.
· Parks Master Plan - Revisit our comprehensive strategy to enhance and expand public parks.
· Street/Bar Ditch Cleaning - Remove trash and debris from alongside the streets to maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment for the community.
· Green Spaces - Increase natural spaces to promote environmental sustainability and recreation.
